Eventful to Power “The Guide” - Hyperlocal Entertainment and Events Offering from the Los Angeles Times

TheGuide.latimes.com Gives Readers Comprehensive, Regional Listings and User-Generated Events Provided by Eventful

San Diego, Calif. – April 30, 2008 – Eventful, Inc. (www.eventful.com), the leading global events Web site, today announced a strategic venture with The Los Angeles Times (www.latimes.com) to provide a selection of regional events to online users of The Guide (http://theguide.latimes.com).

The Guide is The Los Angeles Times’ new, highly relevant and hyperlocal resource for news and information on live music, book signings, art galleries, restaurants, family-friendly activities and more. Eventful’s comprehensive event content and robust platform for event discovery and sharing will provide The Guide’s Web audience with a wide variety of event listings in the Southern California area.

In addition, by utilizing Eventful’s technology platform, The Guide will be able to tailor events pulled from Eventful’s extensive database to meet the specific online interests of The Times’ large and diverse marketplace.

The Los Angeles Times joins more than 1,200 companies using Eventful’s API technology to create targeted calendars and event listings for their specific audiences.
