FLYLEAF Hits The Road On Memento Mori And Lets The Fans Decide The Stops

For the October launch of their new album, Memento Mori, FLYLEAF teams with Eventful to let fans compete for VIP listening parties

SAN DIEGO, CA – August 19, 2009 – Eventful and Platinum-selling A&M/Octone rock band FLYLEAF announced today that they are teaming up to give music fans across the nation a special and unique opportunity- to hear songs from the new album before it is released on October 20th. Fans will be treated to songs from the forthcoming Memento Mori in an intimate setting at exclusive FLYLEAF listening parties before the record hits stores. Listening parties will be hosted in the five cities with the most Eventful demands entered throughout the competition. As a bonus, members of the band will be making live appearances to personally meet their fans at three of the events.

The Eventful competition truly embodies FLYLEAF’s ethos as a band. “I'm really happy that our fans will have a chance to unite in their cities, and request us to play. Memento Mori, set for release on October 20th, is the follow-up to the band’s hit 2005 self-titled debut. The album makes its introduction with the debut single “Again,” set to impact at multiple formats nationwide on August 25th. To record Memento Mori, the Belton, Texas-based quintet again teamed with producer Howard Benson, who– in addition to Flyleaf’s debut – is known for his work with Papa Roach, My Chemical Romance and The All-American Rejects. A compelling blend of powerful guitars and soaring melodies, Memento Mori is highlighted by the stirring, melodic “Arise,” the thunderous, riff-fueled “Beautiful Bride,” the high-flying “Missing,” and the dynamic, urgent “Set Apart this Dream.” The album’s title comes from the well-known Latin phrase that, through the ages, has been uttered as a reminder of the mortality we all share.
