San Diego, Calif.- Oct. 11, 2012- Digital Rodeo, country music’s one-stop shop and Eventful, Inc., the leading digital service connecting consumers with entertainment, movies and local events, announce Emma Rowley as the winner of “The Next Country Music Star.” Digital Rodeo and Eventful partnered together to show how social communities and technology can create a powerful, new promotional platform for new music artists to develop an intimate connection with their fans. “The Next Country Music Star” contestants promoted their music virally across Facebook and Twitter inviting friends and family to click “Demand it!” via Eventful’s social media platform.

Emma Rowley, from Loudoun Country, Va., a suburb outside of Washington, D.C., won “The Next Country Star” competition out of 130 contestants. Emma is headed to Nashville, Tenn. to record three singles at 16 Ton Studio located on Nashville’s famous Music Row. Merchmo and Music City Networks will customize Emma’s new website that also includes a merchandise store and she scored two VIP tickets to the CMA Awards airing live on Nov. 1. Emma will also attend the taping of ABC-TV’s “CMA Country Christmas” on Nov. 3 and is taking home a CMA prize package of assorted merchandise and materials.

“This experience is so amazing- I just love to sing and share stories people can relate to. That’s what makes country music so awesome- these artists share stories and connect people,” said Emma, “The Next Country Music Star” winner. “Just thank you to every single person who voted and believed in me- to Loudoun County High School staff, students and parents for their ongoing support and encouragement.”

The Top 25 artists with the most “Demands” moved to the semifinals where were narrowed down to the top five by music industry experts:

• Lang Scott, President, Music City Interactive, Singer, Instrumentalist, Producer

• Robert Reynolds, Grammy Winner, Founding Member of the Mavericks
