EVENTFUL WINS OMMA AWARD FOR BEST INTEGRATED ONLINE CAMPAIGN FOR THIRD YEAR IN A ROW

Social Media Campaign “Battle of the Bases, Demand it!® and Reward our Troops” for Universal Pictures’ BATTLESHIP wins Movie Entertainment Category

San Diego, Calif.,– Oct. 8, 2012 – Eventful, Inc., the leading digital media company connecting consumers with live entertainment, movies and local events, won the 2012 OMMA Award for the best Integrated Online Campaign in the Movie Entertainment category for the third year in a row. Monday, Oct. 1, MediaPost held its seventh annual OMMA Award show in New York City where it celebrated online media, marketing and advertising’s finest talents and campaigns.

The OMMA Awards acknowledges those who push online advertising’s potential and pioneer new avenues to engage targeted audiences. MediaPost, one of the leading and most influential media and advertising resources, recognized Eventful for creating the first-ever social media marketing campaign to reward U.S. troops for their commendable service. Eventful competed in the movie category against agencies representing the major motion picture studios. The OMMA Awards recognize best in class digital marketing campaigns created by large advertising and media agencies, brand advertisers and online publishers.

Eventful and Universal Pictures partnered together and offered the U.S. military and its communities the opportunity to win a free advance screening of the movie, Battleship. Eventful executed the campaign via its “Demand it!” integrated social media platform and promoted to the Eventful community using a blend of online ads, rich media, email, social sharing integration, mobile and live event elements. The top 10 military bases with the most “Demands” won.

The campaign produced:

• Over 11 million online impressions, two million mobile impressions and 46 percent of participants sharing via Facebook, Twitter, email and blogs.

• Over 36,000 military community members generated over four million impressions and three million movie trailer views.

• Movie screening attendees also provided 500 movie reviews.
