Fans can vote for their favorite concert tour of the year through Eventful’s “Demand it!®” platform

Music fans and concert goers across the country can vote for their favorite concert tour of 2012.

Fans who visit Eventful’s Billboard Touring Conference & Awards page from now to Oct. 29, 9 a.m. PT can watch clips from this year’s hottest tours and help their favorite artist win when they click “Demand it!” via Eventful’s social media platform. They can also spread the word virally through Facebook and Twitter and invite their friends to Demand their favorite tours as well.

Nominees for the Eventful 2012 Fans’ Choice Award are determined by a combination of Billboard’s Boxscore chart and Eventful’s fan-based Demands. The artist with the most Demands will receive the honor at the ninth annual Billboard Touring Conference & Awards taking place at The Roosevelt Hotel in New York City on Nov. 7-8. The Eventful 2012 Fans’ Choice award will be presented at the close of the conference, which honors the concert industry’s top artists and professionals.

Sandra Bernhard is hosting this year’s Billboard Touring Awards, which is known for recognizing outstanding achievement in the music industry. Billboard’s Touring Conference invites elite industry players, concert executives, up-and-coming entrepreneurs and influential decision makers to focus on ways to build careers, sell more tickets, create partnerships and how to stay ahead of the curve in the most vital sector of the music business.
